Here you go fellas and fellettes, Tuesday October 28th at the fountain at riverfront park. Be there or be square.

Yeah yeah, it says it's a race but you can bet your ass I'm not gonna be racing. Let's exert ourselves as much as physically possible, then go drink beer all night... Yeah, no thanks.

Should be good times either way, whether you mosey your way up or bomb it.

Comin up spokane!

I really need to update more often. Sorry, my life's only marginally interesting in 6 day cycles.

Alright dood, there's a ride coming up this Tuesday the 28th. Simon's Tuesday bi-monthly thing... Be there. It's not that cold. I'll try to get a flier and post it up here tomorrow with final info and all that jazz.

Last on the midnight agenda; I've been riding with a few of these guys lately and they're good peoples. Anyways, they shot a short film over the summer and recently cleaned up and posted the results. I'm lovin this.

It's fun to ride at night.

Would anyone want to get a late night fixed gear only ride going? Maybe not late night, but leave from downtown... or roll around downtown, at about 10-10:30? Any night of the week. I don't know if there are enough of you out there, but this could be fun. I know, perfect time to get a ride together... just as it cools for Fall. Anyways, feedback is appreciate.

I appologize for the lack of something interesting to read with this blog.

Flats!

Fuck em.

Woke up this morning stoked to ride my bike in this morning and found myself with a flat, 30 minutes before I'm supposed to be to work. My ride is 25 minutes, so I'm driving today.

Beige Apparel

One more thing.

Go here when you need new clothes, my friends new-ish company. Think about it, you'll be the only person in town with one of these babies. Be Beige.

Hamlet 2

So I rode up to the Village Center Cinemas today, an uncomfortable theater with unbeatable prices, and saw Hamlet 2. The movie was just ok, don't believe the hype, but the ride was nice. Saw some chick with a shaved head on a beach cruiser. I wasn't wearing my helmet and I got to thinking about the bike lanes in Spokane, and the streets in general. The roads are awful around here. DO they have a special area in city coade protecting them against being sued in case anyone breaks an ankle crossing the street? I understand how it must be hard to keep up, but sometimes the repairs are so bad it makes the street more dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians.

Critical..... Mass?

I went to my first spokane critical "mass" today. A grand total of 5 people. Congratulations Spokane, you officially have the worst critical "mass" in America. I'm talking any bike here, fixed or otherwise. The four people were Chris, Aaron, Bryce, "Tie-dye," and myself. We lost Tie-dye as soon as we hit the streets as he tried to fight some dude. Ended up going out and gettin some drinks and hung out in Brownes Addition for awhile... Good times.

I'll be there next month, same time and place.

P.S. This will be a photo blog soon, if anyone's actually reading... and cares.

MIA

Hello, is there anybody out there?

I found this picture when I googled Adam Morrison.

Fixed gear cyclists. Vintage Bike Enthusiasts. Track Bikes. Cruisers. Scraper bikes.
Where are you people? Lets ride. Anyone want to get a monthly, or bi-monthly ride going?

Should I make fliers? It's not like anyone's even seen this page, right? No one wants to listen to me. Oh great, look, now I'm rambling.

I rode my bike to work in the rain today, it was joyous.

Adios.

Enthusiasts unite!

Hello there, and welcome to the Spokane Fixed enthusiasts official blog. I'll be using this blog to unite the budding scene here in Spokane, and to organize rides and all that good stuff. My name's Dylan and I'm originally from Santa Barbara, Ca... I've only been riding fixed gears for a short time, but that's all it takes to get hooked. So welcome everyone, and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to shoot me an email.

P.S. I'm not specifically limiting this to fixed gear riding, single speed and any and all vintage cycling enthusiasts are more than welcome to hang.
